Japan is rich in textile traditions and diverse methods of fabric production and dyeing. We invite you to try your hand at this art and independently create your own unique souvenir to remember this amazing country. You can make your own fan, handkerchief, T-shirt, traditional pouch for small items, and many other things. The 'yuzen-zome' technique dates back to the late 17th – early 18th century. There are different variations of this technique, one using stencils. Its main motifs are bright flowers, birds, landscapes, and images of people. Sometimes about 30 different stencils are used to dye a single kimono.
