About the tour
A New Year tour of Japan from December 23 to January 4 covers four cities: Yokohama, Kyoto, Shuzenji, and Tokyo. Nine curated excursions await you — from the ancient temples of Kamakura and Nara to the mountain landscapes of Hakone and the Izu Peninsula. At the end of December, all of Japan shines with festive illumination and is filled with the spirit of Christmas and New Year — the perfect time to discover the Land of the Rising Sun.
Program
Arrival in Tokyo and an introduction to the city. You will stroll through the upscale Ginza district with its boutiques and fine-dining restaurants. Then a visit to the unique Hamarikyu Gardens, where traditional Japanese gardens sit alongside modern skyscrapers, and in the historic teahouse you can enjoy green tea in a traditional setting.
